VicSyncVicBudget Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using VicBudget, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Permitted use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use VicBudget for your own personal, non-commercial financial record-keeping, in accordance with these terms.
3. Your responsibility
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for how you use the app.
- You are responsible for keeping your device, app lock (PIN/biometric), Google Account, and any backup passwords secure.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any backup files and their passwords.
4. No financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
VicBudget is a personal record-keeping and budgeting tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing in the app should be relied upon as such. Any figures, summaries, or projections are for your personal reference only. Consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
5. Backup responsibility
Your data is stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your own Google Drive application-data folder. You are responsible for creating and safekeeping backups. If you lose your device, uninstall the app, or forget a backup password, your data may be permanently unrecoverable. We cannot recover data or backup passwords for you.
6. Availability
The app is provided on an "as available" basis. Features that rely on Google services (Google Sign-In and Google Drive backup) depend on those services and your connectivity, and may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
7. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, your device's security, or any related service;
- Use the app to store or transmit content you are not authorized to handle.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VicSync shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app — including any loss of financial data or backups.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use of the app constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the app and delete it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to features (including Google-dependent features) where required by law or the applicable service terms.
